At the exact moment when I was trying to enhance my ability to connect with strangers on the street using a camera, the concept of instant beauty seduced me in my mind. I was searching for unique faces and a kind of distinctive visual attraction in individuals. During the days, I wandered the streets looking to capture passersby. Convincing them was a new and complex matter for me. I didn’t want to instill a sense of objectification in them. Therefore, in the very brief opportunity of just one minute, I made every effort to gain their trust. What amazed me during these street wanderings was the personalization of the restrictive element of hijab in women’s appearance. Due to this mandatory dress code that requires covering part of their hair, they have resolutely and bravely replaced this limitation with their facial makeup. Understanding this beauty became more sincere and candid with my desire for them to gaze into the camera with their stone faces.
