Disorders are compulsory gifts for the psyche, stemming from countless sources including genetics, losses, the unconscious, and mental chaos. Each of these disorders creates a new affliction and pain in the mind and body. Understanding disorders through mental visualization and creating situations for their occurrence has enabled me to produce visual and abstract images reflecting my understanding of these psychological disorders. In the photographs, I sometimes draw on the signs and symptoms of each disorder and at other times on the underlying disorders to aid in understanding and mental imagery. This series has been entirely created in a staged genre.

Catatonic Schizophrenia
She tends to remain in states that are strange and exhausting for everyone else; it does not matter whether this physical state lasts for several hours or even days for her, as she feels a sense of peace in this bizarre physical condition that can even defy gravity she does not want her feet to be connected to the ground.
Histrionic Personality Disorder
He/she imagines himself/herself as an actor on a theater stage, perceiving all those around as an audience; he/she has no qualms about performing acts like suicide, saying: “Just see me… even if I have turned my back on you.” He/she wants to be different just to attract your attention; behaviors across all aspects of life are theatrical and uncontrollable for him/her, with a strong dependence on how significant others perceive him/her, so much so that if he/she fails to garner sufficient attention, intense disappointment and depression can overwhelm.
Flat Affect
You can never read anything from his/her face, neither joy nor sadness nor even worry is visible there. His/her face is flat and devoid of expression; even when looking at an old photo of himself/herself, he/she does not remember who he/she was. You cannot know what is going on in his/her head; a complete or partial absence of any emotional expression has become embedded in him/her.
Bipolar Disorder
Time stops for him at two points: when he is immersed in euphoria and joy, and when he halts in mania or deep depression coupled with despair; he always envisions himself as having two sides. One wanting to save the world while the other desires nothingness and extinction restless and hopeless, with chaos leaving no energy remaining for him; during the day he conquers the world while at night longs for sleep from which he never wishes to awaken again.
Paranoia
A sense of anxiety and fear is an inseparable patch from him/her. In the back of his/her mind, there is always a delusion of conspiracy. Illogical and hallucinatory thoughts torment him/her. He/she accuses and judges his/her mental characters, feeling unsafe in every place. Preferring to hide in a corner and take refuge, he/she avoids people, feeling as if cameras are watching him/her in his/her room at all times.
